Job description

Overview The Property and Casualty Underwriter administers the underwriting of BOP, WC, package, commercial auto and umbrella accounts in compliance with company guidelines, individual line authority, and pricing standards. They maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values and uphold the standards of the AmTrust organization. Responsibilities: - Write and retain a profitable book of business through solid risk analysis, pricing and servicing and share in accountability with team in meeting territory goals. - Maintain compliance with state filings and adhere to corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines. - Provide timely processing of notices, quotes, binds and endorsements and other service requests within company guidelines. - Operate within written individual line of authority and make referrals to Management as required. - Obtain facultative reinsurance placements as required per company guidelines. - Review loss control and proactively work with agents to improve quality of risk by obtaining compliance. - Provide professional, timely and courteous internal and external communication to successfully resolve issues pertaining to policyholders and ter...
