Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Water plants in greenhouses, indoor displays and landscape. - Maintain healthy attractive plants by deadheading, pruning and fertilizing as needed. - Identify and treat pest and disease problems on plants with integrated pest management techniques. - Weed gardens by hand-pulling or using herbicides as appropriate. - Use and maintain all hand tools necessary for garden maintenance. - Apply chemicals as needed and maintain records as required by law. - Operate and maintain power tools such as leaf blower or string trimmer as needed. - Drive and operate heavy machinery such as dump truck, skid steer, tractor, water trailer, and snow plow. - Work as a member of the snow removal team, including being on-call as needed. - Preform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
