Job Title Software Development Engineer – Software Engineering Excellence Enablement Job Description: Software modernization at scale is a key strategic priority at Philips, driven from Philips Innovation Engineering and delivered in support of various Philips Business Units, recognized by our Chief Innovation Officer as critical to accelerating healthcare innovation. You will serve as the solutions engineer and craftsmanship assessment lead for the Code Hub Prime modernization squad, maintaining critical European timezone coverage for engagements within Europe and US. As software craftsmanship assessment lead, you'll conduct comprehensive evaluations of engineering practices for Business Units using DORA metrics frameworks, code quality analysis, and hands-on codebase reviews. This means assessing software engineering maturity (clean code practices, test automation discipline, code review rigor, technical debt management), evaluating AI-augmented development adoption and effectiveness, then co-designing improvement plans aligned with engineering excellence goals and BU constraints.
