the D Hotel & Casino JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the Hotel Manager, and Hotel Director. Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers. Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening. Attend company meetings as required. Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Counsels, guides, trains and instructs all employees working in the hotel area in their duties. - Confers with the sales/marketing department to ensure that the highest room occupancy rates are achieved. - Usually handles the critical day-to-day hotel functions, including employee schedules. - Maintains effective and efficient department procedures and controls, and ensures that all departments with the hotel operations are scheduled properly for maximum coverage during peak hours - Oversees the front desk computer system and coordinates any necessary modifications - Showing special recognition of frequent guests. - Maintains communication and cooperation with other shifts and departments to keep employees informed of all pertinent information, including sending out a daily newsletter to a...
