Position Summary(Basic Job Function) This is a temporary position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions. Unit Position Summary: The candidate should have experience following established procedures in performing tests and assays, generating and recording data for later analysis, mouse husbandry and operating, maintaining and monitor research instruments and equipment. This is a temporary position funded for nine months from date of hire with possible extension contingent on available funding. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Follows established procedures in performing tests and assays, such as mouse PCR genotyping, in order to generate and record data for later analysis by other researchers. - Performs or assists with mouse husbandry, such as breeding, weaning, tailing mice. - Performs or assists with mouse physiological studies, such as weight measurements, glucose tolerance tests, drug dosing, and special diet feeding. - Help with histology, such as cryosectioning. - Grows and...
