Position Summary The East Bay Climate Resilience Corps will work to implement projects to address critical environmental, climate, and conservation needs in parks and open spaces across the East Bay Area, CA. Projects will occur at Meek Park (urban agriculture), East Bay Regional Parks (wildlife monitoring, habitat restoration), Sausal Creek/Joaquin Miller Park (trail improvements), and other sites to be determined. The team will have Friday recreation and education opportunities and the second to last week of work will be a camping trip to a National Forest outside the Bay Area with the opportunity to learn from local rangers and continue work projects. All gear and food will be provided on the camping trip; members will learn how to set up tents, and cook and live outdoors safely, under guidance from crew leaders. SCA leaders will pick up and drop off members at central location (e.g., BART). Members are expected to be prepared for the workday: on time, with their lunch and water packed.
