Description The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (MPSY) at Texas A&M University College of Medicine seeks to fill one (1) academic professional track (non-tenure) position for a full time, 11-month appointment with an anticipated start date in the fall of 2025. Applications will be accepted at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor, commensurate with qualifications. The Psychiatry Residency Program will serve as the foundation of a newly-developed residency program within the Shannon Health System in San Angelo, TX. As the College plans to expand its student enrollment, this new residency program will increase the number of PGY-1 positions available for graduating physicians and is tangible evidence of our College's commitment to creating and expanding physician workforce development programs in rural areas. The Program's secondary academic responsibility will be in the area of service, serving as a role model for future physicians while maintaining an active inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric practice.
