Job description

Job Summary: The Receiving Utility will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, photographing heavies containers, and moving material or dunnage between departments. They may also be asked to assist with clean up as required. Duties/Responsibilities: - Operate forklifts and skid steers - Operate Eddy Currents - Operate Dump Trucks - Assist in moving rail cars - Load and unload van trailers - Give breaks to Shredder Operator, Screen Operator, and/or Mobile Equipment Operator - Shoveling material, cleaning, and helping to maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance tasks - Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: ◦ Knowledge of inbound scrap and how to process the scrap to maintain production goals. - Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. - Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance. - Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting...
