Performs routine maintenance and diagnostic checks to ensure vehicles operate under the conditions in which they were designed. Must have ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Perform preventative maintenance on medium duty and heavy equipment and vehicles used by Public Works Perform all diagnostic inspections and drivability inspections on vehicles Perform special projects as needed in shop Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years’ experience as a Mechanic I or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies.
