Classification Title: Assistant Professor Classification Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics by the date of hire. Job Description: The Department of Economics at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics, beginning August 16, 2026. The Department welcomes applicants from all subfields of macroeconomics. It also welcomes applications from advanced Assistant Professors. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics by the date of hire. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package. Candidates with previous experience will receive the full tenure probationary period. The successful candidate should be able to contribute to the Department of Economics’ vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs and conduct high-quality research that results in publications in the discipline’s leading general interest and top field journals.
