Position Status: Full time Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 40 Job Information - Ambulatory RN Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview: Nephrology nursing is a specialty within the nursing profession that encompasses the care of individuals who are experiencing renal (kidney) issues and those who may be at risk for developing kidney-related problems. Nephrology department nurses provide episodic and chronic nursing care to patients by telephone or web portal to include assessing patients, refilling medications per standing orders, evaluating the patient's understanding of their medication regime, and providing education and advocacy to patients and their families. Education Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Experience Qualifications: Experience in a clinic setting. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other, as identified within the institution.
