Position Summary: This position is responsible for strategic leadership, growth and credit governance of SBA Lending Department and other government lending programs. Responsible for all aspects of the lending cycle through development of a strong management team and compliance with all program requirements. This position provides leadership, guidance, and training to an SBA Lending Department Team. Essential Functions: - Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for SBA lending as a core growth platform - Direct and monitor the ongoing operating activities of the SBA lending department, ensuring compliance with government regulations (SOPs). - Develop and lead strategic planning initiatives and operations that support growth and reduce risk while maintaining a focus on customer service. - Approve, decline, and review underwriting of loans in compliance with Bank Credit Policy and government guaranty requirements. - Manage the SBA loan secondary market sales process to ensure all eligible SBA loans are bid and sold, if the bank elects to engage in loan sales. - Serve as an Executive Member of the Credit Committee. - Review credit submissions for approval and make recomme...
