Transport Trailer Apprentice - L3 or L4

Job description

As the Transport Trailer Apprentice (Level 3 or 4 ), you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator and the other Tractor/Trailer Technician/Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. Qualifications: Please note this position is permanent full‐time and subject to a 4x10s Tuesday - Friday from 17:00-03:30. - You will be a registered Apprentice with the Provincial Training Board either Level 3 or 4 - Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam - Graduation from a recognized certificate program (ex. Truck and Transport Technician, Heavy Duty Technician), and the desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate will be key to your success in this position - Effective time management and team focus - May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less Benefits Include: Enrollment to the Provincial Apprenticeship program & reimburse the cost (tuition & supplies) of school for successful candidates.
