J.D. McCarty Center is looking for a Food Service Specialist to join our team in Norman, OK. The Food Service Specialist will provide assistance and support in the food service department to help ensure the dietary needs are met for our disabled and developmentally challenged pediatric patients, birth to 21. The ideal candidate is dependable, reliable, punctual, and enjoys helping others. This person must follow proper dress and hygiene protocols for a kitchen environment. This person must be able to effectively communicate with the dietary team. Pay: $15.00 per hour. Responsibilities: Operates the dish machine according to the proper procedure. Keeps dish room/kitchen area in the Main building and School area clear of dirty dishes and hand washes items when necessary. Maintains temperature and sanitizer log in all dish room areas daily. Assists with food preparation in the main, school, and catering kitchens to include but not limited to plating food, preparation of food, chopping, pureeing, proper food temperatures, proper portion control, specialized diets according to specific diet orders etc. Prepare patient trays for meals which include appropriate adaptive equipment.
