GCI's Cook, under the direction of the Chef, will support exceptional food service operations at GCI’s Agulowak Retreat by preparing, cooking, and plating meals in accordance with established recipes, portion controls, and food safety and sanitation standards. This role contributes to a high-quality dining experience for guests and staff while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen through daily cleaning, inventory support, and assigned deep-cleaning tasks. Position’s Customer(s): Customers include retreat guests such as GCI customers, clients, employees, and other invited guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT ALL LEVELS: Food Preparation & Service: - Prepares and cooks entrées, soups, salads, baked goods, snacks, appetizers, and desserts for guests and staff. - Follows standardized recipes to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation, including intentional plating and banquet service needs. - Assists other cooks with meal preparation and plating; collaborates with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
