Power System Coordinator (Transmission System Operator) - ACC A Power System Coordinator has the ultimate responsibility and accountability for the integrity of Alabama Power Company's (APC) electrical transmission system by making critical decisions regarding system operations while keeping the Bulk Power System safe and reliable. Additional responsibilities include: - Manage and direct field employees in performing switching operations. - Monitor and operate the Network Transmission/Sub Transmission systems and other transmission lines and facilities. - Assess operating situations. - Coordinate generation resources and operate hydro resources. Education & Experience Requirements: - Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution OR - Technical certificate/Associate’s degree OR - Extensive experience in transmission system operations including construction (lines or subs), maintenance (lines or subs), and/or protection & control. - Current work experience within APC Power Delivery is a plus.
