Staff Accountant

Job description

The Accountant performs professional and analytical tasks in the accounting/finance function. Tasks are sometimes repetitive in nature and follow prescribed procedures. At other times tasks are unique and require independent analysis to achieve general objectives. Work is performed independently, but is reviewed by management prior to release. As circumstance warrant, procedures are developed to provide accounting control over areas of financial risk. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: - Prepares financial reports including financial statements, cost reports, and various transaction reports. - Prepares financial analyses. - Develops accounting procedures and controls. - Prepares account and other data reconciliation. - Other duties as assigned. Organizational Responsibilities: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $33 and $35/[hour]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
