Overview GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To promote the Mission of The Salvation Army through assisting in the planning and facilitation of summer programs for local children, assist in mobilizing efforts with a mind towards evangelism/service, visitation of nursing home residents, assist with VBS, assist with Summer JAM (Junior Arts and Music) and with some summer social services programs at The Salvation Army Canton Citadel. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist the Wellness Coordinator and Corps Officers with the planning, preparation and implementation of summer youth programs (sports programs, music/arts programs, VBS, etc.); including activity schedules for each program and adherence to program guidelines. - Provide a positive and safe experience for children. - Participate in the preparation for, and implementation of, summer mobilizing efforts with a mind toward evangelism. - Participate in Nursing Home Visitation. - Assist with packaging of Soup Kitchen and Canton Towers meals. - Complete and file reports for programs, activities, disciplinary or accident issues in a timely, neat and orderly manner. - Keep records/statistics as requested from Coordinato...
