Job Description Summary The Materials and Processes Engineering Hot Gas Path and Informatics Engineer is responsible for material capability and quality of gas turbine blades/vanes/shrouds. This engineer qualifies suppliers to produce investment cast components for industrial gas turbine, provides expertise to ensure the metallurgical quality of the part produced, including establishing material and process requirements for the qualification, and performs machine learning studies to evaluate composition and microstructure effects on properties. Additionally, this person performs failure analysis of hardware damaged during field operation.
