Department: OB/GYN Associates: Shift/schedule: Full Time (36 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Office Manager, Service Line Manager, Office Supervisor, and/or Family Health Center Manager. The Credentialed Medical Assistant's primary job function is to provide assistance to the provider with patient exams. Collects data on patient vitals, documents patient medical history and current complaints, phones/electronically sends prescriptions to pharmacies, operates various medical equipment, and may perform patient education. Also, orders all medical supplies and maintains a drug sample log. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - Credentialed Medical Assistant - CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, AMCA required. - BLS within 90 days of hire required - Minimum one month of on the job training preferred.
