Description SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager of Facilities Services, the Groundskeeper position performs a variety of grounds maintenance duties necessary for the upkeep of the Institute. Qualifications: SKILLS/ABILITIES: EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: - Plant and maintain turf, flowers, and ground-covers; prune trees and shrubs. - Remove debris from parking lots, stairs, patios, walkways and maintain hard surfaces. - Assist in the maintenance of parking lots including asphalt, concrete, signs and painting. - Mix and apply fertilizers, insecticides and herbicides. Assist with general pest control. - Participates in the collection of hazardous material for short term storage and disposal. - Operate and perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools required. - Operates, adjust and performs maintenance repairs to sprinkler systems and all connected plumbing. - Available for call-in emergencies and any assignment within Facilities as needed.
