Job description

Description The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is currently accepting applications for the UTSW General Internal Medicine Faculty Development Fellowship beginning July 1, 2023. This two-year program is designed to train individuals interested in academic medicine to become general internists as clinician-investigators, clinician-educators, and/or quality and safety experts. Fellows have an opportunity to complete a Master of Science in Clinical Research, a Master of Public Health, or a Master of Health Professions Education, if congruent with their career goals. Fellows will complete courses in research methods, biostatistics, epidemiology, outcomes and health services research, and grant writing leading to a Master of Science in Clinical Research, as well as training in quality improvement and patient safety. Fellows also conduct a mentored project in their area of concentration (research, education, quality improvement).
