SUMMARY: The Research Assistant will be tasked with assisting in clinical trial testing as part of the Rochester General Hospital Research Institute. May also assist with research projects as a part of RGHRI. STATUS: Open: LOCATION: Various Clinical Sites: DEPARTMENT: RGH Research Institute: SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Day Shift. Monday through Friday (8 am to 4.30 pm) ATTRIBUTES: Self Starter: Detail Oriented: Multitasker: Key Responsibilities: Assists senior team members in conducting research projects, collecting samples and analyzing data. Performs sample collections or experiments with limited guidance of senior team members. Analyzes data with limited guidance of senior team members For clinical duties: Collects blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture according to physician orders applicable to regulations, policies and procedures to ensure complete and accurate specimens for testing. Adheres to established safety guidelines inclusive of the use of appropriate equipment and practices. Obtains the required specimens, labels and transports specimens to specified area.
