Job description

The summer temp student assistant for Biology and Chemistry will assist departmental faculty and/or staff with tasks needed throughout the department. Support and responsibilities may include (but are not limited to), office support, phone coverage, assisting walk-ins, maintaining equipment and supplies, monitoring lab activities, assisting faculty with grading for summer course, or research assistance. As such, workers may be asked to perform grading, laboratory preparation, office/clerical work, specific research projects, or other tasks as requested by the supervising individual. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Depending upon the specific needs of the position, which will be discussed in advance with the student worker, the following tasks can be included in their expected weekly duties.
