Operations Manager - Taunton Depot Monday to Friday - 37.5hrs: Reporting to the Senior Business Manager, the Operations Manager has line management responsibility for supervisors and their teams and is responsible for the safe, reliable and effective delivery of the depot’s recycling and waste collections and street cleansing service. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that high levels of customer service are maintained at all times, whilst delivering on the contract’s KPI's. They must also ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the contract, Biffa Policies and Procedures, industry related legislation and health and safety rules. Key responsibilities: - Ensure that all Health and Safety, Biffa policies and procedures and legal obligations are understood and followed by all members of staff. Periodically review and amend safety procedures as required, or in the event of a changed or new activity. Maintain up-to-date records of training provided. - Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal/external customers. Attend client meetings as required.
