Position Summary: Pay Range: $45,000-$49,000 Salary The Early Childhood Teacher develops and implements activities and lesson plans for 3-5 year old children in collaboration with a partnering Special Education Teacher. Together, the teachers plan, organize, and manage daily classroom activities to engage, teach, and support child development. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedure. - Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program. - Ensure the equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times. - Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities. - Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts. - Develop activities that foster cooperative play and learning. - Implement positive discipline when required.
