ast Bay Community Action Program is hiring for a full-time Medical Assistant! The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to providers in the day-to-day operation of the medical and behavioral health programs. This position interacts with patients, their families and members of the multidisciplinary team in a community health setting and assists providers and other clinical staff with assigned daily tasks to advance EBCAP's mission of providing comprehensive community healthcare services. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient Care and Clinical Support: - Greet patients, family members and visitors, respect their confidentiality and privacy, and assist in making the visit informative and comfortable - Perform initial assessments of patients including medical, social, and psychological history - Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight and height of each assigned patient - Review and update with patient all allergies, medications, immunizations, medical and social history prior to visit with provider - Screen patient for appropriate information per EBCAP's policies and procedures (depression, anxiety, alcohol use, tobacco use, etc.) - Perf...
