The United Cardiac Medicine Unit fosters a collaborative environment committed to continuous learning. This 40 bed unit cares for cardiac patients with an average length of stay of 2–5 days. The Cardiac Medicine Unit offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in both Telemetry and Med-Surg nursing. The team cares for patients undergoing cardiac procedures such as NSTEMI interventions, pacemaker placements, cardioversions, ablations, and other cardiac treatments. The unit also cares for patients admitted with medical or surgical conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring on hard wired telemetry.
