Job description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will fit and assemble mechanical components and systems to build equipment that is dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. To excel in this role, a combination of technical skills is required, including the ability to read and follow engineering blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to attach and install parts and sub-assemblies. Location: 1556 Industrial Road, Cambridge, ON - moving to 141 Consolidated Drive, Paris, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm; Monday to Friday Dedicated Afternoon Shift: 3:30pm - 2:30am; Monday to Thursday Shift Premium: $3.00 per hour for afternoons **All applicants must be able to transfer to the new Paris location as of late April, or early May!** Job Duties: - Read and thoroughly understand detailed assembly instructions, engineering diagrams, schematics, and parts lists to ensure meticulous assembly through fit and alignment. - Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. - Connect hoses, tubes, clamps, and wires. - Fasten parts and sub-assemblies together using hand, power, and pneumatic tools. - Operate lifting devices such as cranes (overhead and/or jib) to com...
