Job description
The Division of Student Affairs seeks a Mental Health Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, and outreach programming support on our Boston campus. The Mental Health Counselor works directly with undergraduate and graduate students in rigorous healthcare programs and provides consultation to faculty and staff in identifying and supporting the social and emotional needs of their students and the larger campus community. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Clinical (75%): - Provides short-term, goal-oriented individual psychotherapy to a diverse college student population presenting with a wide array of mental health concerns. - Delivers crisis intervention services, including same-day urgent appointments, risk assessment, safety planning, and coordination of higher levels of care when indicated. - Participates in the Counseling Center’s on-call rotation, including after-hours consultation and crisis response in collaboration with on-campus and community partners as needed. - Provides case management services, including referrals to community providers, coordination with campus partners, follow-up outreach, and as...
