Job description

Job Summary: Manages, schedules, and coordinates the facility schedule of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center and Buchtel Field. Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating and supervising facility student employees while developing and applying employee trainings in safety, customer service, and event management. Essential Functions: Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate approximately 65 students staff for the following positions: facility supervisor, front desk attendant, equipment check-out, court monitor, and custodial. Design and deliver student training and development opportunities that align with industry best practices and increase student buy-in. Organize, implement, and provide on-site supervision of special event programming within recreation facilities and campus wide, to include SRWC, Ocasek Natatorium and Buchtel Field. Work with department programs, university departments, and community patrons for scheduling, billing and contracts, personnel, supervision and other duties related to facility reservations.
