We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Monmouthshire to assist with the appointment of a Grounds Operative , on a 1-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £16.62 per hour Summary: Support the delivery of a safe, clean, and sustainable environment through grounds maintenance and street services. This role involves maintaining public spaces, green areas, and community facilities, ensuring high environmental standards across the County. Responsibilities: - Carry out grass cutting using hand-held and ride-on equipment - Maintain parks, open spaces, schools, and landscaped areas - Undertake planting, horticultural maintenance, and landscaping tasks - Support cemetery duties including grave digging (with training) - Maintain sports pitches and facilities Essential Requirements: - Full, clean driving licence - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions - Physically fit (lifting, bending, manual handling required) - Understanding of health & safety practices - Flexible and reliable approach to working hours - Relevant grounds maintenance or horticulture experien...
