Position Overview: The Sr. Histotechnologist (Sat - Tues 6:00am - 4:30pm) is responsible for performing highly skilled Histology and operational activities in a fast paced and complex operation. The high complexity nature of the work requires excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules, and the ability to work independently in a team environment. Essential Duties: Include, but are not limited to, the following: - Perform complex and nonroutine histology procedures including cutting, microtomy, H&E staining of patient specimens, and execution of IHC assays with appropriate controls on submitted tissue specimens. - Assist with writing new procedures and revising procedures. - Prepare department for a CAP inspecti...
