Chief Compliance Officer, UK - Global Payment

In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all of ByteDance's products and services that are growing rapidly worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to oversee and manage compliance initiatives with regard to group payment activities in the UK. This role requires extensive knowledge of UK laws and regulations applicable to payment and e-money services. We are seeking candidates who have been approved by the FCA to perform the role of compliance officer or MLRO for an authorised payment or e-money institution. This role will report to the Head of Payments Compliance, EMEA. This position will be located in London. Key responsibilities: - Work with relevant stakeholders to identify the product(s) to be supported by a UK payments licence. - Develop a plan to seek a licence to support such product(s) with clear steps and timeframe to authorisation. - Lead our application to the FCA for a UK payment/e-money licence. - Be key point of contact for the FCA with regard to the licence application. - Support the hiring of key team members to perform the roles of...
