Position Description: Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Tire Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Carlin. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off road vehicles - Maintaining correct air pressures and tread depths - Inspecting and removing worn or failed tires and installing replacement tires - Repairing all repairable tires - Complete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of large mining, support equipment fleets - Maintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment - Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes - Perform other duties as assigned - Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred - Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required - Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required - Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required - Experience handling...
