Position Purpose: Our Floral Designer will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the store. The Floral Designer is a floral products expert who maintains and operates the produce floral department including designing, cutting and arranging live, dried or artificial flowers, gift baskets and foliage according to department standards. Responsibilities: A Floral Designer is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. A Floral Designer’s responsibilities include: Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period: Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending - Trimming material and arranging bouquets, wreaths and other items using trimmers, shapers, wire, pins, floral tape, foam and other materials. - Pricing and displaying floral products in sales cases. - Actively selling merchandise. - Informing customers about the care, maintenance and handling of various flowers, foliage, indoor plants and other items. - Advising customers of appropriate merchandise selections, conferring with c...
