Job description

CAD Designer The Opportunity: Prepare technical drawings and documentation. Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external as well as technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, to ensure the quality and accuracy of drawings, models, and other written deliverables. Apply knowledge of program and project requirements, policies, and procedures. Perform moderately difficult support tasks. Work independently with minimal supervision and follow general instructions. You Have: 3+ years of experience working with mechanical 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD), in a professional environment Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing for 2D drawing development Experience with 3D modeling techniques and best practices Ability to develop detailed technical, mechanical, and electrical documentation for U.S. Navy shipboard installations, including 2D technical drawings, detailed bills of material, and associated written technical documentation Ability to support SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, incl...
