Description Saz’s Catering is seeking Part-Time Prep/Production Cooks to join our culinary team. This versatile role will prepare food in our production kitchen for catering events and assist on-site at events. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for delivering products of the highest quality in terms of freshness, taste, and consistency. On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you're familiar with our specific menus and procedures. Responsibilities: - Prepare food items using batch, a la minute, and line cooking techniques - Set up mobile kitchens for catering events - Carve food to order at events when required - Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of kitchen areas - Ensure appropriate stocking, rotation, and labeling of food products - Follow all standardized recipes with precision - Notify the Chef of any shortages or discrepancies in products or ingredients Requirements: - Knowledge of basic cooking techniques including knife skills and standard cuts - Familiarity with kitchen equipment (steamer, fryer, kettle, convection/combi ovens, griddle) - Understanding of herbs, spices, and various flavoring ingredients - Ability to roast, broil,...
