Job Summary: The Physical Therapist-Orthopedic will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive and advanced program for physical therapy. Will include performing patient evaluations, goal setting, integrative treatment planning, follow-up assessments and ongoing patient and family education. Provides care according to Physical Therapy, Medical Center policies and procedures and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with discipline specific designated practice act. Is responsible for providing outpatient services under physician's orders. Fosters a constructive and supportive approach to department operations. Promotes professional, collegial relationships. Understands economic constraints and practices are designed to conserve resources. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistant and Rehabilitation Technicians when indicated. Opportunities to participate in and initiate clinical research trials, involving physical therapy and patient treatments and/or outcomes. Performs other duties as needed.
