Performs various duties involving the set up, execution, and break down of special events and activities taking place at the Mesa County Fairgrounds. Activities are conducted indoors and outdoors, year-round, and may involve livestock. Performs routine maintenance and custodial tasks to buildings, grass/planted areas, arenas and stalls, restrooms, performance areas and parking lots, keeping all areas safe, clean and usable. Operates all sizes of equipment including, but not limited to, mechanized and non-mechanized hand tools, front-end loader, tractor, and bobcat. Performs routine facility maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, room set-ups for meetings, janitorial services to floors, windows and restrooms, trash collection, snow removal, and lawn mowing. Performs various outdoor maintenance functions in preparation for events and activities (e.g. moving arena panels, chutes, bleachers), repairs fencing and gates, and grooms horse arena.
