Summary of Duties include: Directs operators to start, stop and adjust equipment as necessary. Starts, stops and controls various power plant systems that include fans, pumps, regulators, etc. Control and monitor various plant systems and directs operators as necessary. Makes load changes as directed or as system demands. Takes corrective action of all kinds to maintain safe conditions for operating personnel and all equipment while obtaining maximum load as conditions warrant. Works to maximize plant efficiency and minimize costs. Monitors and inspects control panels reporting abnormal conditions and taking corrective actions when needed.
