POSITION TITLE: Music Therapist DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Special Services/TBD: STATUS: Certified – Contract: Description of the position: This position works with EC-12 students in classrooms which could include students with educational risk factors, as well as students with special needs. The ability to form relationships with a wide variety of students and families is essential. Differentiating instruction and methods for a wide range of developmental needs is required. The Music Therapist must understand students with significant needs and behaviors and how to program for them. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Kansas Music Therapy license required . Salary commensurate with education and experience . PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the performance of Medium work. The position involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The position requires visual acuity to perform work using a computer and other technology to support instruction.
