Employment Type: Full Time Job Summary: The City of Olathe is hiring one Fleet Maintenance Technician for our Light-Duty / Automotive team. This position may be filled at Technician Level I, II, III, or IV, level, depending on the selected candidate’s verified experience, certifications, and overall qualifications. Candidates who do not meet the requirements for a higher-level designation may still be considered for placement at the appropriate technician level. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. What You’ll Do: - Diagnose and repair mechanical, brake, suspension, HVAC, and electrical issues - Perform preventive maintenance on light-duty fleet vehicles and related equipment to keep City fleet operations safe and reliable - Complete repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other vehicle systems - Assist with police vehicle upfitting and accessory installation, such as lights, radios, and related equipment - Maintain accurate service and repair records - Respond to emergency and after-hours service needs when required Equip...
