Job Description The Part-time Laboratory Technician supports the day-to-day operations of the Mass Spectrometry Facility, contributing to service delivery through mass spectrometry and omics-based workflows, including proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. The technician performs routine and advanced sample preparation, monitors instrumentation runs and works both independently and collaboratively to ensure efficient and reliable facility operations. This role supports the development and implementation of new methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and instrumentation workflows to expand and enhance facility capabilities. The technician also participates in user training and ongoing technical skill development to maintain operational flexibility and technical proficiency. Additional responsibilities include maintaining laboratory organization and safety compliance, ensuring SOPs remain current, managing laboratory inventory and supply ordering, and supporting the laboratory management system.
