Job description

Perform entry level general pipefitting duties as required with supervision. Progress through the trade Essential Job Functions: APPRENTICE 1 (0-12 months): - Develop good working and safety habits. - Understands terminology and the use of power and hand tools. - Required to obtain the mandatory tools for Level 1. - Has basic math skills. - Attentive to instructions and assists the journeyman in all phases of work. - Can document approximately 2,000 hours of employment. - Perform laborer tasks including sweeping, cleaning, delivering, loading and unloading, etc. - Other duties as assigned APPRENTICE 2 (12-24 months): All Apprentice 1 responsibilities plus: - Read non-complex blueprints and detail drawings. - Required to obtain the mandatory tools for Level 2. - Has an understanding of simple heating and cooling systems. - Can solder up to two inch copper tube. - Have basic skills in the use of cutting torch and welding. - Help install equipment. - Document approximately 4,000 hours of employment. - Other duties as assigned APPRENTICE 3 (24-36 months): All Apprentice 1 & 2 responsibilities and: - Understands and is able to read architectural, mechanical, electrical plans and their d...
