Job description
Responsible for performing routine, portable, and STAT echocardiography exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles. Must be available to work scheduled on-call shifts when needed. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce sonographic images, as well as computers and various software applications to enter patient related information into hospital information systems. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal and professional excellence in technical and interpersonal skills. Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Sonography or an Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology with a certificate from an accredited school required. At least one to two years of experience which may include program and clinical externships in a related field.
