**Requires a 30-minute callback** Hours 930a-6p M-F. Weekend/Weekday call rotation Job Summary: Provides patient care for the unit/department by optimizing operations and organizational efficiencies while promoting a world class environment. Essential Job Duties: - Maintain sterility during surgical procedures. - Communicate and collaborate with RN and other multidisciplinary departments to coordinate the appropriate care for the surgical patients in the most efficient and highest quality manner. - Follow all relevant federal requirements, AORN standards, The Joint Commission standards, and hospital policies and procedures, when caring for the patient and performing other tasks. - Participate in unit and hospital wide Performance Improvement activities. - Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment. - Pursue lifelong education, staying current on professional changes and best practices of surgical technique. - Maintain financial responsibility in helping to stay within the unit’s budget. - Communicate any issues with equipment and supplies with charge nurse, manager and inventory coordinator. - Provide education and be a resource for...
