Description Job Summary: As a leader of the therapeutic care team, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct care for patients as they progress through the observation and medical detoxification process. The RN will collaborate with physicians, counselors, behavioral health technicians, other RN's and health care professionals to coordinate, plan and deliver excellent patient care using a multidisciplinary patient-centered approach. - Shift: Monday through Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM* Duties/Responsibilities: · Assess and monitor patients’ physical and psychological signs and symptoms of withdrawal from mood-altering chemicals. · Administer medications as prescribed with the goal of ensuring that the patient detoxifies safely. · Obtains and documents nursing history from patients and/or significant others that is comprehensive of present condition and prior problems. · Performs basic assessment of patients, indicating adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Records vital signs, notes changes, and pursues more-specific investigations as needed.
