Job description

Overview CVP is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with diagnostic imaging services at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center), located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. This is a full-time, on-site position. Work schedules include weekday and weekend coverage (including holidays), with shift options including Day shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm and 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, Evening shifts from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Night shifts from 10:15 pm to 6:45 am, and Weekend shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Previous VA experience is preferred. Responsibilities: - Independently operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to perform a variety of complex MRI imaging exams, practicing MRI safety at all times in accordance with established national standards and VALBHS policies and procedures. - Operate super conductive MRI equipment - a highly complex computerized imaging device utilizing strong magnetic fields and radio waves - to acquire images of the entire body, including the brain, neck, spine, chest, body, and extremities. - Receive patients, explain the method of procedure(s), position patients appropriate...
