Company Description Job Location: Fargo, ND: Consider joining our team with the following opportunity: A Civil Engineer Intern with Houston Engineering Inc. (HEI) will spend time in the field working on outdoor construction phase activities as well as a variety of in-office projects assisting engineers. Structural engineering projects range from complex grade separation projects and large bridges spanning a river with architectural enhancements to box culverts for a rural township over a small ditch. Job Description: As an intern, responsibilities may include some or all of the following: - Assist with plan specifications and estimates as well as documenting construction activities. - Assist with AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and update redlines with various project set drawings. - Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station. - Perform work in a variety of software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, etc. - Potential observation and data collection at different types of project sites. - Assist with research, development and design of projects.
